Pineapple Bread - cooking recipe

1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
8 oz. can crushed pineapple, undrained
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream butter.
Gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with pineapple, mixing well.
Stir in vanilla extract.
Spoon batter into greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 55 minutes to 1 hour or until wooden pick comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove from pan and cool on a wire rack. Yields 1 loaf.
