New Orleans Style Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. pinto beans
    1 large diced onion
    1 large diced green pepper
    1 bay leaf
    salt and pepper to taste
    garlic powder to taste
    1 German sausage, sliced
Preparation
    Saute onion and green pepper of choice.
    Mix with remaining ingredients.
    Cover with water.
    Mix and cook in a slow cooker on medium overnight.
    Be sure you have enough water to keep the beans from boiling dry and burning.
    Serve over rice.
