Famous Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. oatmeal (uncooked)
1 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda

Preparation

Cream shortening, sugars, egg, water and vanilla.
Mix in remaining ingredients.
(Can add 1 cup nuts or raisins or chocolate chips or coconut.)
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
