Ponakaka(Swedish Dessert Similar To Baked Custard) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. homogenized milk
    1 rennet tablet
    4 eggs
    1 c. flour
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix rennet tablet in small amount of water to dissolve (about 1 tablespoon); set aside.
    In large pan, heat milk until a little more than warm to touch.
    Beat flour, sugar, vanilla and eggs and stir into milk.
    Pour into a large bowl.
    Add rennet mix; stir well, then let stand until sets or feels firm to touch, about 45 minutes to 1 hour.
    Bake in greased large casserole dish.
    You may use this for setting time.
    Also start cooking at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes, then lower temperature to 375\u00b0.
    It will rise in the middle and later fall, this is to be expected.
    Done when can insert knife in the middle and come out clean.
    Can be served with ice cream hot or cooled and refrigerated.
    Good both ways.
