Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
3 eggs
grated skin and juice of 2 oranges
1 c. sour milk
1 tsp. baking soda
4 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Cream sugar, shortening and eggs.
Add juice of oranges, skin and sour milk.
Sift together baking soda, flour and baking powder and add to mixture.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes or until light brown on bottom. Makes a large batch.
Taste best when iced with orange flavored icing.
