Meat Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. Mazola corn oil
    1/2 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1/4 c. chopped parsley
    1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
    1/3 c. tomato paste
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. dried basil leaves
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    In a 3-quart saucepan, heat corn oil over medium heat. Add next 4 ingredients.
    Cook, stirring, 10 minutes or until beef is browned.
    In blender container, place tomatoes.
    Cover.
    Blend on high speed 30 seconds or until chopped.
    Add to beef mixture. Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, 45 minutes.
    Makes 3 3/4 cups.
