Dutch Butter Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. butter or 3 sticks oleo
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix butter and sugar until creamy.
    Add egg and vanilla and beat well.
    Add sifted dry ingredients and mix well.
    Roll into small balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Dampen cloth and put over small drinking glass.
    Dip in white sugar and use to flatten cookie balls.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until done.
