Mama'S White Mountain Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. skim milk
    6 egg whites
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 c. flour, sift before measuring
    juice of 1/2 lemon
    2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
    Add flour and milk alternately.
    Beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry.
    Fold in juice of lemon and egg whites with mixture.
    Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
