Pulao(Pilaf) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. basmati rice
    2 Tbsp. oil
    3 green cardamon
    2 cloves
    3 peppercorns
    1/2 tsp. salt
    water
Preparation
    Wash the rice twice and leave aside.
    Heat the oil in a pot. Add cardamon, cloves and peppercorns.
    Fry for about 1
    minute. Add rice and stir-fry for a further 2 minutes.
    Add salt and water; lower heat.
    (At this point, you may add chickpeas or green peas if you wish.)
    Cover and simmer over a very low heat until water has evaporated.
