Chocolate Angel Meringues - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 c. sifted granulated sugar
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat egg whites with a pinch of salt and cream of tartar until foamy.
    Add sugar gradually until stiff peaks hold.
    Fold in nuts and vanilla. Drop in mounds on brown paper covered cookie sheets, hollowing out the middles and building up the sides.
    (May be spread in greased 9-inch pie pan building up sides 1/2-inch above edge of pan.) Bake at 300\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes. Cool and fill with Chocolate Cream.
