Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1 c. shortening
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. almond or lemon extract
Preparation
    Put dry ingredients in mixing bowl and cut in shortening as you would if you were making pie crust.
    Add a pinch of salt. Stir in sugar, slightly beaten eggs and flavorings.
    Stir together until blended.
    Chill dough for 1 hour.
    Roll out enough for one pan.
    Cut out with cookie cutter and bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
