Ingredients

1 lb. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
juice of 1/2 lemon
1 tsp. vanilla
3 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
7 to 8 c. flour
1 c. broken nuts or chocolate chips
Preparation

Cream butter, sugar and brown sugar.
Add eggs, lemon juice and vanilla.
Sift cinnamon, baking soda and flour together.
Hand knead dry ingredients into creamed mixture.
Add nuts or chocolate chips.
Roll dough into a 1 1/2-inch diameter log.
Wrap in waxed paper.
Refrigerate until dough is firm enough to slice or freeze for future use.
Slice and bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
