Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    2/3 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 stick butter
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Stir sugar, butter and shortening together.
    Add vanilla, egg and flour.
    Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 until bottom of cookies are brown.
