Pomanders - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1-6 oz. pkg. (1 c.) nestles semi sweet chips
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. orange extract
2 1/2c. finely crushed (9 oz.) vanilla wafers
1 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation

Melt chocolate over hot water with sugar and syrup and water. Stir till fully, mixed and sugar is melted.
Remove from heat and stir in orange extract.
Quickly mix in wafers and nuts.
(Have them ready first, mixed together.)
Form into small balls and roll in sugar.
Let cool thoroughly.
Store in covered container for 3 to 4 weeks.
Makes about 60 cookies.
