Basic Sweet Dough - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk, scalded
    1 tsp. salt
    3 eggs, well beaten
    1/4 c. lukewarm water
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    2 envelopes dry yeast
    6 c. sifted flour
Preparation
    Pour scalded milk into a large bowl.
    Stir in sugar, salt and butter.
    Let stand until lukewarm. Blend in eggs.
    Sprinkle yeast in lukewarm water and stir yeast until dissolved. Add to milk mixture. Stir in enough flour to make a soft dough. Cover and set in warm place until double in size.
    Turn out on floured board and knead dough until smooth and not sticky.
    Place in greased bowl and cover.
    Store in refrigerator until needed.
