Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. jam
3 1/2 c. plain flour
1 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. soda
1 c. cocoa
2 c. sugar
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar together.
Add buttermilk.
Add cocoa and sugar together.
Sift flour 3 times.
Add jam to flour; mix well and then put other ingredients in.
Makes two 9-inch layers. Bake at 350\u00b0 until a toothpick comes out clean.
