Old-Fashion Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 hen
    chopped onion
    salt and pepper
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 stick oleo
    1/2 c. milk
    chicken broth
Preparation
    Boil one hen until tender.
    Season with chopped onion and salt and pepper.
    Allow to cool and debone chicken, reserving broth. Mix flour, eggs, salt, oleo and milk together.
    Knead until stiff. Roll out to thickness of pie crust.
    Cut into 1 x 2-inch strips. Bring broth to a rolling boil and drop in dumplings one at a time. Cook about 15 minutes.
    Add chicken.
