Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. corn meal
1 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1 c. milk
1/4 c. shortening
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients into bowl.
Add egg, milk and shortening. Beat with eggbeater until smooth.
Pour into greased 8-inch baking pan.
Bake at 425\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
Yields 6 servings.
