Ingredients

1 box graham crackers
1 c. sugar
1/2 stick butter
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 can coconut
1 c. crushed graham cracker crumbs
nuts (if desired)
Preparation

Use shallow 11 x 13-inch pan.
Cover bottom of pan with layer of crackers.
In saucepan, melt butter.
Add sugar.
Beat egg in the 1/2 cup of milk.
Add mixture.
Bring to boil.
Cook 5 minutes.
Continue to stir.
Remove from heat.
Add the 1 cup of crumbs plus coconut.
Spread on crackers.
Add another layer of crackers on top.
Makes a sandwich effect.
