Ingredients

1 c. margarine
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 c. sugar
1 egg yolk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
candied cherries or pecan halves
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Cream first 2 and gradually add sugar. Beat well.
Add flour, egg and vanilla.
Blend well.
Chill dough 1 hour.
Shape into 1-inch balls.
Press cherry or pecan into each.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes.
