One Bowl Shoofly Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 1/3 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. shortening (rounded)
    2 c. molasses
    2 eggs [slightly beaten]
    1 1/2 c. hot water
    2 tsp. soda (scant) in 1/2 c. hot water
Preparation
    Mix flour, brown sugar and shortening together and reserve 1 cup for tops and pies.
    Add to remainder molasses, eggs, 1 1/2 cups hot water and mix.
    Add soda to 1/2 cup of hot water and add promptly to mixture. Makes 2 (8-inch) pies.
    Bake until crumbs are brown at 375\u00b0 for about 40 minutes.
