Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. round steak
    1/2 lb. bacon
    3 good-sized onions
    1 green pepper
    1 red pepper
    1 can tomatoes
    1 can kidney beans
Preparation
    Grind steak and put in kettle with enough cold water to cover; start to boil slowly.
    Grind bacon, green pepper, red pepper and onion together.
    Fry slowly until tender.
    Mix with cooking round steak.
    Add tomatoes and salt to taste.
    Boil slowly for about an hour, then add kidney beans.
    Cook a few minutes more.
    Serve hot with crackers.
