Poached Pears - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 large apples
    3 large fresh pears
    1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
    1 c. fresh orange juice
    1 tsp. grated orange rind
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Pare, quarter
    and
    core apples and pears.
    Brush fruit with lemon
    juice.
    Combine
    orange juice rind, sugar and salt in a large
    skillet.
    Heat to boiling point.
    Add fruit; cover and simmer until just tender, about 15 minutes.
    Serve warm or chilled.
    Makes 6 servings.
