Hungarian Goulash - cooking recipe

1 lb. beef chuck or rump roast, cut into 1-inch pieces
2 Tbsp. cooking oil
1/2 c. sliced onion
1 garlic clove, minced
1/3 c. ketchup
2 to 4 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. brown sugar
1 1/4 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
dash of crushed red pepper
1 2/3 c. water, divided
1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
cooked egg noodles
Preparation

In a Dutch oven, brown beef in oil over medium-high heat.
Add onion and garlic. Cook until tender.
