Caramel Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar, packed
    1/2 c. butter
    1 egg
    1 tsp. baking powder
    pinch of salt
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Mix brown sugar and butter.
    Let boil a few minutes.
    When cool, add egg and beat well.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Bake in an 8 x 8-inch pan for 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Will be soft.
