Brownies From Tillie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 sq. unsweetened chocolate
2/3 c. shortening or butter
1 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
5 eggs
Preparation

Melt unsweetened chocolate and shortening/butter together. Put remaining ingredients in a large bowl and beat together for 2 minutes. Add melted chocolate and shortening/butter mixture. Beat 1 minute. Add 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla and beat until mixed. Add 1 cup halved pecans or pecan pieces and blend with spoon. Pour in greased and floured long pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes. Do not overbake or brownies will not be chewy. Frost, if desired.
