Prune Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. sour milk
    2 eggs
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon and cloves
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. chopped prunes
    1/3 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1/4 c. milk
    2 1/4 c. powdered sugar
Preparation
    Melt, in saucepan, over low heat, butter or margarine.
    Add brown sugar.
    Cook and stir over low heat 2 minutes.
    Stir in milk.
    Cook and stir, over low heat, until mixture comes to a boil.
    Remove from heat.
    Cool to lukewarm or until the hand can be comfortably held on the bottom of pan.
    Stir in, about 1/2 cup at a time, powdered sugar.
    Beat until smooth and creamy.
