Date Nut Roll - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. sweet milk
1 pkg. dates, chopped
2 c. pecans, chopped
2 Tbsp. butter
powdered sugar

Preparation

Mix sugar and milk.
Cook until it begins to boil.
Add dates.
When very thick, put in butter.
Cook, stirring occasionally until forms hard ball in water.
Pour in pecans. Let cool.
Roll in powdered sugar on wax paper.
Should make 2 rolls the size of a nickel.
Let set, then slice.
