Country Apple Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 c. thinly sliced apples
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. light brown sugar
3 Tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. heavy cream
1/4 tsp. cinnamon mixed with 1 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

In an unbaked pie shell, arrange the apples closely.
Mix together dry ingredients. Combine with cream and lemon juice. Pour over the apples. Sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture. Place pie on a cookie sheet. Cover with foil and place in a 400\u00b0 oven. After 30 minutes, remove foil.
Lower oven temperature to 375\u00b0 and continue baking 30 to 40 minutes longer until apples are tender and crust is brown.
Can put crust on top, if desired.
