Coconut Frosting(Frosts A 2-Layer Cake) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/3 c. water
    2 egg whites
    1 Tbsp. corn syrup or 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. coconut
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients, except vanilla and coconut, in top of double boiler.
    Beat 1 minute.
    Place over boiling water and beat until frosting stands in stiff peaks (about 7 minutes).
    Remove from water; add vanilla and beat for 2 minutes.
    Frost cake and sprinkle top and sides with coconut.
