Pork And Beef Ragout - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. pork steak
    1 lb. beef steak
    1 medium onion
    1 garlic clove
    3 to 4 carrots
    8 oz. mushrooms
    1 c. water
    1 c. dry red wine
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 to 4 Tbsp. cooking oil
    cornstarch and water
Preparation
    Trim excess fat from pork and beef; remove bones from pork. Cut all meat into 1-inch pieces.
    Peel and cut onion into wedges. Mince garlic.
    Scrape carrots and cut into 2-inch julienne slices. Clean and slice mushrooms.
