Creole Okra - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 slices bacon
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    2/3 c. uncooked rice
    1 1/3 c. chicken broth
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen cut okra, thawed
    1 tsp. salt
    1 fresh tomato, peeled and chopped
Preparation
    Saute bacon until crisp and drain off all but 1 tablespoon drippings.
    Add onion, green pepper and okra.
    Cook until vegetables are tender and crisp.
    Stir in rice, broth and seasoning. Bring to a boil and reduce the heat.
    Cover and simmer 15 minutes. Add tomato and fluff lightly. Replace lid and allow to stand about 10 minutes.
