Pfeffernuesse (Pepper Nut) Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. oleo
    1 large egg
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 tsp. ground cloves
    1 tsp. ground ginger
    2 Tbsp. corn syrup (light)
Preparation
    Mix flour with soda in large bowl.
    Beat sugar with oleo with electric mixer at high speed until light and fluffy.
    Beat in egg, then spices and corn syrup, blending well.
    At low speed, stir in flour, 1 cup at a time, until well mixed.
    Cover dough; refrigerate 1 hour or overnight.
