Apple Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 c. chopped raw apples
1/2 c. nuts or raisins
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 Tbsp. sour milk
1 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation

Cream butter with sugar.
Add eggs and beat well.
Combine flour with salt, baking powder and soda.
Add alternately sour milk and flour to creamed butter or margarine and flour.
Add nuts or raisins and chopped raw apples.
Bake in a greased and floured loaf pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until done.
Yields 1 loaf.
