Ingredients

1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. flour
2 c. milk
1/4 lb. dried beef, cut in pieces
1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat.
Blend in flour.
Add milk, stirring constantly.
Cook and stir until sauce is smooth and thickened.
Add seasonings and dried beef.
Heat to serving temperature.
Great served over baked potatoes or toast or English muffins.
