Frosted Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick butter
1 c. oats
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 unbeaten eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cut butter in small pieces in large mixing bowl.
Add oats and pour in boiling water.
Let stand 20 minutes.
Add sugars and eggs.
Mix well.
Sift together dry ingredients.
Add to mixture and beat well.
Add vanilla and mix well.
Pour into large cake pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
