Breakfast Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 Tbsp. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg, separated
1 1/2 c. flour
2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream shortening.
Add sugar gradually and cream until fluffy. Blend in egg yolk and mix well.
Sift flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg together.
Add to creamed mixture, alternating with milk.
Fold in beaten egg white.
Pour into greased muffin pans, filling half-full.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes. Makes 12 muffins.
