French Cinnamon Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2/3 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    3 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. melted butter
    1/2 c. sugar plus 1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream together first 3 ingredients.
    Add the rest of the ingredients (except melted butter, cinnamon and sugar mixture) and mix well.
    Put heaping teaspoonful in each well-greased miniature muffin pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    They do not brown.
    When baked, turn
    out muffins and dip in melted butter and cinnamon/sugar mixture.
    I start with 1/2 cup melted butter and 1/2 cup sugar, but I always need more.
    Serve warm or cold.
    Store in Tupperware-type container.
