Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. soda
1/4 c. buttermilk
1 c. mashed ripe bananas (about 3)
1/2 c. nuts
Preparation

Cream together shortening and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time and beat thoroughly.
Sift remaining dry ingredients together and alternate, adding to the creamed mixture, the buttermilk, bananas and dry ingredients.
Add nuts.
Grease and flour Number 303 cans; fill 2/3 full and bake at 350\u00b0 for about 45 minutes.
