Gelatin Banana Splits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. Jell-O gelatin (any flavor)
    1 c. boiling water
    1 c. cold water
    3 to 4 medium bananas
    lemon juice
    1/2 c. Cool Whip
    3 to 4 cherries
    chopped nuts
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
    Add cold water and pour into a deep, narrow dish.
    Chill until firm.
    Just before serving, cut bananas in half lengthwise.
    Brush with lemon juice and arrange in banana split dishes.
    Scoop gelatin onto banana.
    Garnish with whipped topping, cherries and nuts.
    Makes 3 to 4 servings.
