Fruit Cocktail Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. Crisco
    2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
Preparation
    Cream sugar and Crisco.
    Sift all dry ingredients together and add to the creamed mixture.
    Add eggs and mix well.
    Add a No. 2 can of fruit cocktail, undrained, to the mix and blend well.
    Pour in a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Take 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup chopped pecans and mix.
    Sprinkle over top of the uncooked batter.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
