New Zealand Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. dates or raisins
    milk to mix
    fruit jam
    whipped cream
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients; add sugar and rub in butter.
    Add dates or raisins and mix to a soft dough with milk.
    Knead on a lightly floured board; roll out.
    Cut and bake 10 minutes at 425\u00b0.
    Serve with fruit jam, whipped cream and hot, hot tea.
