Chili Bake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. ground or cubed meat
4 Tbsp. butter
4 medium onions, sliced
2 c. (canned) strained stewed tomatoes
2 c. (canned) red kidney beans
4 celery stalks, chopped
1 tsp. each: salt, red pepper and chili powder
1 1/2 c. milk
1 c. corn meal
1 1/2 Tbsp. shortening
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. sugar
Preparation

Saute meat and onions in butter until browned.
Add tomatoes, beans, celery, salt and pepper.
Simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
Add chili powder and simmer 30 minutes more.
