Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Cream shortening with sugar. Add eggs and vanilla.
    Mix well; combine with dry ingredients. Roll out on floured surface.
    Roll to 1/8.
    Cut with cookie cutter.
    Sprinkle with sugar (colored if desired).
    Bake approximately 8 minutes at 425\u00b0.
    Do not overbake.
