Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. cold water
1 1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce
2 large eggs or 3 small
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. raisins
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour Bundt pan.
Blend dry ingredients in bowl, add shortening, water and applesauce.
Beat 2 minutes on medium speed over 300 strokes by hand.
Add 2 eggs, beat 2 more minutes. Stir in nuts and add raisins.
Pour into pan. Bake until done, about 1 hour.
Cool and frost with favorite maple frosting if desired.
