Cornbread Muffins - cooking recipe

1 1\\2 C. Cornmeal
1\\2 C. Flour
1\\4 C Shortening
1 1\\2 C. Buttermilk
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Sugar
1 tsp. Salt
1\\2 tsp. Baking Soda
Preparation

Mix all ingredients, beat vigorously 30 seconds. Pour into greased or lined with paper baking cups in muffin pan. Fill to 7\\8 full.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 20 min.
