Chocolate Potato Cake(Ft. Daivs, Al) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. cold mashed potatoes
4 eggs
1/2 c. milk
2 sq. chocolate or 2/3 c. cocoa in 1/2 c. hot water
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans

Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add cold potatoes and eggs and blend well.
Stir in chocolate or cocoa mixture.
Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk.
Stir in vanilla and chopped nuts.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour in angel food cake pan or 45 minutes in 2 small loaf pans.
Ice when cool.
