Rice Pilaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. uncooked brown rice
    1 1/2 c. chicken broth
    1/3 c. thin spaghetti, broken into 1/2-inch pieces
    2 tsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
    2 Tbsp. sliced green onion
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp. dried thyme
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
Preparation
    Cook rice in 1 cup of the broth in covered saucepan until almost tender, about 30 minutes.
    Cook spaghetti in butter over low heat until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
    Stir frequently. Watch carefully.
    Add browned spaghetti, onions, green pepper, garlic, thyme, salt, pepper and remaining 1/2 cup broth to rice. Bring to boil; reduce heat and cover.
    Cook over medium heat until liquid is absorbed, about 10 minutes.
    Remove from heat; let stand 2 minutes.
    Garnish with parsley.
    Makes 4 servings.
