Fruit Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1 beaten egg
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter
Preparation
    Sift together sugar, flour, baking powder and salt.
    Blend in the butter and beaten egg.
    Shape the dough and place over fruit. Use any kind of fruit (fresh, frozen or canned) and add sugar according to your taste.
    Bake in 8-inch greased pan in a 325\u00b0 oven for 1 hour.
