Banana Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. shortening
1 egg
1/4 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
2 c. plain flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. mashed very ripe bananas
Preparation

Beat shortening until soft and smooth.
Gradually beat in sugar; continue beating until mixture is soft and fluffy.
Add egg; beat well.
Sift together the flour, soda, baking powder and salt. Add flour mixture alternately with the bananas.
Grease an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 3-inch pan.
Pour in batter; bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour.
